Humanitarian Aid

A compassionate society is one which cares for the less fortunate who are in need. Every citizen and his family should be able to lead a certain minimum standard of living. We should be ready and willing to help those who don’t . Together we can make our society a better place to live.

Social development, if achievable, is a good thing. Development should be sensitive to issues such as gender, social exclusion, poor household resource allocations, social security and family, incidence of crime and violence, geographical location and infrastructure, access to networks of support and social amenities, and participation in government-through elections and other means.

Poor and marginalized people have often been viewed as the target of poverty reduction efforts. However, the successes of such intentions often fall far below expectations. For instance there is little evidence that the mechanisms and the theoretical mantra of alleviating poverty has achieved much in the last decade. The call to reduce poverty and reach the Millennium Development Goals remains an elusive to many countries. read more..
